Sekes are made in different sizes so that they can produce different pitches. They are made with a hollow reed, which falls in the class of bambos locally called “seke”. The name “seke” is derived from the name of the tree.

The name “seeke” is derived from the name of the tree. They are made in different sizes and are always given numbers. The biggest size “seeke” is called *zenge*, and they are usually blown by elders.
